The French National Centre for Scientific Research, known as the CNRS, is a public research organization of France, founded in 1939, which runs laboratories in the physical sciences, life sciences, humanities and social sciences, often together with universities. It teaches and does research across the natural sciences, medicine and the humanities. The atlas links scientists to it where their cited articles say they worked in its laboratories or institutes, including under the abbreviation CNRS.
