The National Physical Laboratory is the national measurement standards laboratory of the United Kingdom, based in Teddington, London, and established in 1900. It keeps the national standards for time, length, mass and temperature, and Alan Turing's design for the Automatic Computing Engine was drawn up there. The atlas links scientists to it where their cited articles say they worked there, as staff scientists, engineers or visiting researchers.
