Jean Frederic Joliot-Curie (1900-1958) was a French chemist and physicist who shared the 1935 Nobel Prize in Chemistry with his wife, Irene Joliot-Curie, for their discovery of induced radioactivity. The couple, who together founded the Orsay Faculty of Sciences, extended the Curie family's run of Nobel prizes that had begun with his wife's parents.
