Abul Hussam is a chemistry professor at George Mason University in Fairfax, Virginia, known as the inventor of the Sono arsenic filter, a low-cost household water filter developed to remove arsenic contamination from groundwater. He also serves on the advisory board of Shahjalal University of Science and Technology in Bangladesh.
