Ada E. Yonath

Ada E. Yonath was an Israeli crystallographer, director of the Helen and Milton A. Kimmelman Center for Biomolecular Structure and Assembly at the Weizmann Institute of Science, best known for her pioneering work on the structure of ribosomes. She was awarded a share of the 2009 Nobel Prize in Chemistry and became the first Israeli woman to win a Nobel Prize.
