Jean-Pierre Sauvage (born 21 October 1944) is a French coordination chemist working at Strasbourg University. He specializes in supramolecular chemistry, for which he shared the 2016 Nobel Prize in Chemistry with J. Fraser Stoddart and Bernard L. Feringa for the design and synthesis of molecular machines.
