Karl Karekin Turekian

Karl Karekin Turekian was an American geochemist who lived from 1927 to 2013, a Sterling Professor at Yale University who examined an uncommonly broad range of topics in planetary science, including the sediments of the deep seas, the hot springs of Yellowstone National Park, meteorite strikes and the composition of Moon rocks. He was a member of the National Academy of Sciences and a Fellow of the American Academy of Arts and Sciences. He received the V. M. Goldschmidt Award in 1989 and the Maurice Ewing Medal in 1997. He received the Wollaston Medal in 1998, per the Wollaston Medal roster page own list of recipients. He is also live on this family own earth atlas as a scientist entity for the same geochemistry work, a legitimate width mint of the same historically significant figure rather than a duplication.
