Akira Suzuki

Akira Suzuki is a Japanese chemist who first published the Suzuki reaction, coupling an aryl or vinyl boronic acid with an aryl or vinyl halide using a palladium catalyst. He shared the 2010 Nobel Prize in Chemistry with Richard F. Heck and Ei-ichi Negishi.
