Natasha Elaine Batalha is a Brazilian and American astronomer at NASA's Ames Research Center in California. Her research focuses on observing exoplanets to determine the chemical composition of their atmospheres and using those observations to classify the planets. She is also known for developing open source software used to analyze exoplanet data from the James Webb Space Telescope and to predict what information proposed observations could yield.
