Sharat Kumar Roy was an American geologist of Indian origin who took an interest first in volcanoes and later specialized in meteorites. He worked as curator of geology at the Chicago Natural History Museum and took part in several of the museum's expeditions; the United States Coast and Geodetic Survey named a peak on Baffin Island, Mount Sharat, after him in 1944.
