Genetics

Scientists whose most historically significant work is in genetics: heredity, genes, and the variation of living organisms, including classical, molecular and population genetics. Does not include biologists whose work touches inheritance only in passing to a broader biological question; it does include a biologist whose own most significant discovery was itself a genetic one.
