Basiswar Sen, known as Boshi Sen, was an Indian agricultural scientist regarded as a pioneer of the Green Revolution movement that expanded India's food grain production. He founded the Vivekananda Laboratory in the Almora region of the Himalayas and received India's third highest civilian honour, the Padma Bhushan, in 1957.
