Logic And Foundations

This group collects the Mathematics subcategory's members whose defining work concerns mathematical logic and the foundations of mathematics: set theory, computability, formal proof and the questions of what mathematics can and cannot establish about itself. It is the subcategory's second smallest group, kept apart from Algebra And Number Theory and Analysis, whose members work within an established mathematical subfield rather than on the foundational questions underlying all of mathematics.
