Oceanographers

This group collects the Earth Sciences subcategory's members whose defining work concerns oceanography: the physical, chemical, geological and biological study of the ocean, from the founders of scientific ocean exploration to the modern oceanographers who mapped the seafloor, its currents and the deep-sea life within it. It is kept apart from Hydrologists And Glaciologists, whose members study fresh water and ice rather than the open ocean.
