Particle And High-Energy Physics

This group collects the Physics subcategory's members whose work centers on the fundamental particles of matter and the forces between them: quarks, leptons, bosons, the Standard Model, string theory, and the accelerator experiments such as those at CERN that test these theories. It is kept apart from the subcategory's Nuclear Physics group, whose members study the atomic nucleus as a bound structure rather than the elementary constituents beneath it, and from Quantum Physics And Quantum Information, whose members work on the general framework of quantum mechanics rather than a specific particle or force.
