Physical Chemists

This group collects the Chemistry subcategory's members whose defining work concerns physical chemistry: chemical thermodynamics, kinetics, electrochemistry, quantum chemistry and catalysis, the physical principles underlying how and why reactions happen. It is kept apart from Analytical Chemists, whose members develop and apply techniques to identify or measure substances, and from Organic Chemists, whose members study carbon-based synthesis rather than reaction mechanism and rate in general.
