This group collects the Astronomy subcategory's members whose defining work concerns stars: stellar classification, stellar evolution, supernovae and asteroseismology, from the founders of stellar spectral classification to modern astrophysicists modeling how stars live and die. It is kept apart from Galactic And Extragalactic Astronomy, whose members study structures larger than an individual star, and from Planetary Science And Solar System Astronomy, whose members study planetary bodies rather than the stars themselves.
