Volcanologists

This group collects the Earth Sciences subcategory's members whose defining work concerns volcanology: volcanoes, magma chambers, lava composition and the physical processes of volcanic eruption, from field observers who monitored active volcanoes at close range to the scientists who explained why and how magma reaches the surface. It is one of the subcategory's smaller groups, kept apart from Geophysicists And Seismologists, whose members study the Earth's interior and seismic activity broadly rather than volcanic activity specifically.
