Jacques Francis Albert Pierre Miller is a French born Australian research scientist known for discovering the function of the thymus gland and for identifying the two major classes of lymphocytes in mammals, now known as T cells and B cells, along with their distinct roles in the immune response. His work established the cellular basis of adaptive immunity that underlies modern immunology.
