Andrei Dmitriyevich Linde is a Russian-American theoretical physicist, the Harald Trap Friis Professor of Physics at Stanford University, a pioneer of the theory of cosmic inflation. He received the 2014 Kavli Prize in Astrophysics, shared with Alan Guth and Alexei Starobinsky, for pioneering the theory of cosmic inflation.
