Paul Bruce Corkum is a Canadian physicist specializing in attosecond physics and laser science, born in 1943, recognized for developing the theory of attosecond physics and for pioneering work that enabled the first experimental imaging of molecular orbitals and attosecond pulse visualization. He was the first Canadian recipient of the Isaac Newton Medal from the Institute of Physics, in 2018. He received the BBVA Foundation Frontiers of Knowledge Award in 2022 and the APS Medal for Exceptional Achievement in Research in 2025. He received the Wolf Prize in Physics in 2022.
