Jerome Isaac Friedman

Jerome Isaac Friedman, born in 1930, is an American physicist and institute professor emeritus at the Massachusetts Institute of Technology. He shared the 1990 Nobel Prize in Physics with Henry Kendall and Richard Taylor for their pioneering investigations of deep inelastic scattering of electrons off protons and bound neutrons, work whose evidence for internal proton structure helped establish the quark model.
