Henry Way Kendall (1926-1999) was an American particle physicist. He shared the 1990 Nobel Prize in Physics with Jerome Isaac Friedman and Richard E. Taylor for their pioneering investigations of deep inelastic scattering of electrons off protons and bound neutrons, work that was essential to the development of the quark model in particle physics.
