The University of Dhaka is a public research university in Dhaka, Bangladesh, founded in 1921 and the oldest university in the country. Satyendra Nath Bose taught physics there. As a research university it teaches and does research in the natural sciences, the social sciences, and the arts and humanities, from its campus in the capital city of Bangladesh.
