Uppsala University is a public research university in Uppsala, Sweden, founded in 1477 and the oldest university in the Nordic countries. Carl Linnaeus, Anders Celsius and Anders Ångström held chairs there, and the Celsius temperature scale and the angstrom unit of length are named for its scientists. The atlas links scientists to it where their cited articles say they studied or taught there, in any of its faculties.
