Nagoya University is a national research university in Nagoya, Japan, established in 1939 as Nagoya Imperial University. Noyori, who shared the Nobel Prize in Chemistry in 2001, and several other Nobel laureates in physics and chemistry worked there. It teaches and does research across the natural sciences, medicine and the humanities.
