French Universities and Colleges

Universities, colleges and engineering schools of France, including the Collège de France, the Strasbourg university and the Ecole Polytechnique, which have shaped French science since the Revolution and before. An institution belongs here when its cited article places it in France. It excludes institutions in other French-speaking countries, such as Switzerland, which sit in their own national group. Browse By lists these entries together so that a reader can move from one to the next and compare how each is described in the sources of the atlas.
