Gerald J. Fishman

Gerald Jay Fishman, known as Jerry Fishman, is an American research astrophysicist born February 10, 1943 in St. Louis, Missouri, specializing in gamma ray astronomy, space and nuclear instrumentation and radiation in space. He earned a bachelor own degree with honors in physics from the University of Missouri in 1965 and master own and doctoral degrees in space science from Rice University in 1968 and 1970. He shared the 2011 Shaw Prize in Astronomy with Enrico Costa.
