Sir Arthur Harden (1865-1940) was a British biochemist who shared the 1929 Nobel Prize in Chemistry with Hans von Euler-Chelpin for their investigations into the fermentation of sugar and the enzymes that drive it. He was a founding member of the Biochemical Society and edited the Biochemical Journal for twenty-five years.
