Paul S. Anderson (born 1938) is an American medicinal chemist who worked at Merck Sharp and Dohme Research Laboratories, DuPont-Merck and Bristol-Myers Squibb over a career focused on developing medicinally active substances. He served as president of the American Chemical Society in 1997 and received the E. B. Hershberg Award in 1995, the Perkin Medal in 2002, the National Academy of Sciences Award for Chemistry in Service to Society in 2003, and the Priestley Medal in 2006.
