Hideki Shirakawa

Hideki Shirakawa was a Japanese chemist and engineer, professor emeritus at the University of Tsukuba, best known for his discovery of conductive polymers. He shared the 2000 Nobel Prize in Chemistry with Alan MacDiarmid and Alan Heeger.
