Jacob Tsimerman

Mathematics

Jacob Tsimerman is a Soviet-born Canadian mathematician at the University of Toronto specializing in arithmetic geometry, algebraic geometry, and related areas. He was awarded the Fields Medal in 2026 for contributions to o-minimality and for proofs of major conjectures including the Andre-Oort conjecture, and he earlier won the SASTRA Ramanujan Prize in 2015 and the Ostrowski Prize in 2023.
