Ondrej Krivanek

Ondrej Ladislav Krivanek is a Czech-British physicist born August 1, 1950 in Prague, who became a British citizen in 1974 and resides in the United States. He is a leading developer of electron-optical instrumentation, credited with substantial innovations in aberration-corrected transmission electron microscopy that advanced the field from theoretical concept to practical, commercially viable systems achieving sub-angstrom resolution imaging. He received the 2020 Kavli Prize in Nanoscience for his substantial innovations in atomic resolution electron microscopy, and he is a fellow of the Royal Society and the American Physical Society; he currently serves as senior scientific advisor to Bruker and affiliate professor at Arizona State University.
