Orna Berry

Orna Berry is an Israeli computer scientist and technology executive born December 19, 1949, in Jerusalem, who holds a doctorate in computer science from the University of Southern California. In 1996 she became the first woman to serve as chief scientist and head of the industrial research and development operation of Israel Ministry of Industry, Trade and Labour, a position no other woman had held as of 2019. She founded the networking company Ornet Data Communication Technologies, later acquired by Siemens, and has since held venture capital and corporate leadership roles including at EMC Corporation and Google Cloud, where she directs technology in the office of the CTO. She was inducted into the Women in Technology International Hall of Fame in 2014.
