Peggy Assinck, born May 8, 1983, is a Canadian neuroscientist. Paralyzed by spina bifida at age eleven, she went on to complete a PhD in neuroscience at the University of British Columbia in 2017. Her research examines how the central nervous system functions after spinal cord injury and explores cell transplantation as a possible therapy. She also competed as an ice sledge hockey athlete, taking part in the inaugural IPC Ice Sledge Hockey Women's International Cup in 2014.
