Senjuti Saha

Senjuti Saha is a Bangladeshi scientist born in Dhaka who serves as Deputy Executive Director of the Child Health Research Foundation. She earned a bachelor degree in biochemistry and a doctorate from the University of Toronto, then worked as a postdoctoral fellow at the Hospital for Sick Children and Stanford University before returning to Bangladesh to build genomic research capacity. Her research on infectious disease genomics and antimicrobial resistance in resource-limited settings included decoding the genome sequence of SARS-CoV-2 in Bangladesh in 2020 and generating evidence that supported introducing the typhoid conjugate vaccine there in 2025. She founded Building Scientists for Bangladesh, an initiative to expand the country scientific capacity, and received the 2023 Asian Scientist 100 designation.
