Siddhartha Mukherjee, born in 1970, is an Indian-American physician, biologist, and author who specializes in cancer research, immunology, and cancer epidemiology. He serves as an associate professor of medicine in the Division of Hematology and Oncology at Columbia University Medical Center. He is best known for his book The Emperor of All Maladies: A Biography of Cancer, published in 2010, which won the 2011 Pulitzer Prize for General Nonfiction.
