Subhasish Dey is a hydraulician and educator known for his research on hydrodynamics, developing theories and solution methods for problems in applied hydrodynamics, river mechanics, sediment dynamics, turbulence, fluid boundary layers, and open channel flow. He has held professorships at the Indian Institute of Technology Kharagpur and the Indian Institute of Technology Jodhpur, and is currently a visiting professor at the Indian Institute of Technology Gandhinagar.
