Madhulika Guhathakurta is an Indian-American astrophysicist, born in Kolkata, who works in NASA's Heliophysics Science Division. She has authored more than one hundred scientific publications on heliophysics and has served as program scientist for NASA missions including the Solar Dynamics Observatory and the Van Allen Probes, and previously led the agency's Living With a Star initiative. She also served as NASA's lead scientist for the August 21, 2017 total solar eclipse across North America.
