This group collects the Life Sciences subcategory's members whose defining work concerns botany: the classification, structure and physiology of plants and fungi, from the earliest plant classifiers who built the first systematic plant taxonomies to modern plant biologists and mycologists working on plant genetics and fungal biology. It is kept apart from Ecology And Evolutionary Biology, whose members study broader environmental interaction and evolutionary change across all of life rather than plant biology specifically.
