Chemistry

Irene Joliot-Curie (1897-1956) was a French chemist and physicist who, with her husband Frederic Joliot-Curie, discovered induced radioactivity and observed positron emission in the same experiments, work for which the couple shared the 1935 Nobel Prize in Chemistry.
