Tista Bagchi is an Indian linguist and ethicist who serves as Professor of Linguistics at the University of Delhi. Trained at Sanskrit College Kolkata, the University of Delhi, and the University of Chicago, where she earned her PhD in linguistics, her work spans semantics and syntax in South Asian and other languages, ethical questions in medical technology and social interaction, and cognitive science questions relating sentence structure, computation, and human cognition.
